The Parakeet Breeders of Excellence Found: Calciboost liquid calcium

CALCIBOOST;

I wanted to be sure my rosy bourke pair were in great
condition to breed and have strong fertile eggs, so I
searched until finding a company that has the calcium
liquid, Calciboost for their water,  as cuttlebone
doesn't stay up well in their cage.  Calsiboost is a
super saturated liquid calcium/magnesium supplement
with added vitamin D3, for finch, canaries, budgies,
cockatiels, greys and amazonspigeons.
 Rosa & Arthir are...
1 yr. olds that spent their lives with someone else and
came from a pet store.  Therefore, I'm taking every
precaution for their health.

Invoice came from:

Parakeet Breeders of Excellence...Communicate with your parrot

Understanding your parrot's body language:

Communicate with your parrot or pet bird.  Find out how
our birds interpret and react to our actions or inactions,
or our misinterpretation of what they are trying to tell us
can turn even the sweetest bird into a biter.  Knowing
how they respond to our actions will help in preventing
aggressive and other undesirable behavior traits, plus
it will enable us to guide our parrots or any pet bird's
behavior in the right direction.

Pet birds bring peace to the soul.

other breeder's residence prior to coming to our  home.
This is not only for other birds safety, but also for the
safety of your baby!

Contact Betty at (859) 846-9087 to make an appointment
to come choose the rosy baby(s) you want to be in your
family and pay your $30 deposit for each baby chosen.

Let's Play!

Let's play, entertaining our parakeets while keeping
them safe with our socializing program.

When our babies reach the age of wanting to explore
and walk around they receive play ground time in ouir
large enclosed pet cage, with a play gym, for half an
hour each day.  We teach them to climb, play with
whiffle golf balls, and many other toys from the birdie
toy box.

Prospective New Parents

We screen any prospective new parents for our babies
before we agree to send the baby off to it's new home.
We put a lot of time, energy and love into each individual
baby to ensure it's emotional as well as physical health.

Contact Betty at (859) 846-9087 to discuss the new baby
you may want from Parakeet Breeders of Excellence -
Winter Berry Parott Nest Aviary.

Most popular & widely kept pet bird

The rosy bourke parakeet, the most widely kept pet bird,
with their gentle, big personality and small size.

Winter Berry Parott Nest Aviary, a small family-owned
in home aviary, breeds Rosy Bourke Parakeets.

Our babies are all handled, cuddled, and socialized,
starting two-three weeks old.  Our babies are raised in a
family home setting of husband and wife.  The birds rule
the roost.  When the babies reach the age of wanting to
explore and walk around they receive play ground time
where we teach them to climb, play with whiffle golf
balls, and many other toys from the birdie toy box.  All of
our babies are given quality one on one time with each family
member.  This teaches them to be accepting of both men and
women.  This socialization program also prevents the babiess
from bonding to any individual caretaker, we reserve that
bonding to the baby's new owners.

Pink! Pink! Pink!

Pink! Pink! Pink!

My female rosy, Rosa is now turning pink!
Rosa did have a rose-Orange belly and now
she's turning pink, especially on her chest,
shoulders, and head.  Don't know why but
I prefer the pink color.  If it has to do with
diet, daily they get parakeet seed, fruit &
veggie seed, dry egg mixture, and a mixed
fruit & nut treat, all combined.  Their fresh
veggie smorgasboard is lettuce, and vegetables.
Always clean water, cuttlebone, and mineral
block.  I have ordered their calcium for water,
crushed oyster shells, and Petamine Breeding
Formula, which will be in soon.
I'm wondering if lighting is helping Rosa turn
pink?  Their light stays on, above them 16 hrs.
a day.  What ever the reason, I couldn't be
happier.  Healthy breeding birds is a must!
Let me know your thoughts on this.

Out for cuddling

Took Rosy and Arthur out of their cage this morning
for cuddling and petting.  Well, Arthur bit me very hard
and Rosy flew.  Found Rosy hiding in our bathtub.  Loved
on them and back in cage.  They are beautiful but I would
like their offspring to be pink.
Our 2 new Rosy Bourke Parakeets...1 year olds, Rosa Lee & Arthur Marvin...
their nest box goes up today!  Pictures of Rosy & Arthur will be posted soon.

Parakeet Breeders of Excellence: Have a Happy Year with your feathered friends

Parakeet Breeders of Excellence: Have a Happy Year with your feathered friends: Have a happy year with your feathered friends! We're prepared for the feathered years ahead, if Mindy will stop being so bossy!

The many colors of parakeets and budgies

Tha many colors of parakeets and budgies...
How did so many color mutations develop from a simple green bird?

Mindy is all white with a tiny blask dot on her beak.
Rissa appears to be all white, except for a small lightblue spot on her chest
and some light blue tail feathers.
Chad and Rhett are both dark blue.

I'm now looking at the Rosy Bourkes.  I love that pink!  Hoping to have some one day!
Well, got the beauties, Rosa & Arthur, one year olds.  We're a happy family!

Parakeets from the beginning

Parakeets from the beginning...

Mindy, Rissa, Chad & Rhett...and Rosy Bourke, Rosa & Arthur...
All in the family,  our feathered babies are part of the family dynamic.

Mindy was cuddly from the beginning and the first one to jump onto
the fresh vegetable smorgasboard.
Rissa is a bit shyer than Mindy, but still very sweet and tame.  First time
I rubbed Mindy's little head and talked softly to her, I put her back in the
cage and the next time I looked in on them, Mindy was hanging upside
down from the top of their cage.  Sure made me laugh, didn't expect this
so soon, like day one.  A good part of our pleasure will be derived from
observing our little bird's playful antics.
Chad and Rhett, the dark blue boys are extremely quiet but I'm sure they
will come around.  We delight in caring for our small flock of parakeets.
From the time we start our day to the minute we retire for the evening,
we make conscious decisions and choices to make comfortable the little
birds that share our home.
Today, we have had our little parakeets for six days.  Such a joy!
New kids on the block...Rosy Bourke, Rosa & Arthur, came to live with
us on Thursday, January 3rd.  Just beautiful!
